Landmannalaugar, Brennisteinsalda Group

The volcano Brennisteinsalda (sulfur wave) is only 3 km (1.9 miles) away from Landmannalaugar. It is probably the most colorful mountain of Iceland. Powerful fumaroles surround the volcano, completing the out of the world scenario. Be careful, especially the whitish ground next to the fumaroles may be only a thin crust and one may easily break through.
